Derived from the building’s authentic attributes and blended with exquisite modernism, The Buhl Hotel explores the concept of revitalization. This boutique hotel features six stories that feel both contemporary and respectful to the history of the original Buhl Building of 1913 and the city of Pittsburgh itself, by mimicking the symmetry and original color palette throughout and by referencing ironwork elements from the days of Steel City. Turning to the original blue and cream terracotta details draped along the exterior, the color palette will feature an abundance of blues with an otherwise monochromatic tone throughout. The furnishings and soft goods, along with lighting fixtures, will reflect some of the time period while still providing the modern touch of the 21st century. Consistency throughout flooring selections and hard surface materials will be showcased throughout various spaces within different applications. All styles of guest rooms, ranging from the Grand Queen to the Deluxe Suite, offer luxurious details and an abundance of natural light with floor to ceiling window views of Triangle Park from every angle. In addition to the guest rooms, all amenities spaces were designed with the guest’s experience in mind -  From sipping a cocktail at High Iron, to enjoying a deep tissue massage in the full service spa, to holding small meetings in the lounge or grabbing an espresso to go, The Buhl Hotel provides a sophisticated experience for all.
